Scott Henry

Biography

South African born creative food expert Scott Henry’s passion for great tasting flavourful food started when he was in boarding school, it was here where he vowed “never to eat such bland horrifying food ever again”.

Thus his adventures started in 2000 as a young comis chef working his way up the 5 star chef ladder. At a young age knowing how he could enrich his life with all the wonders and exciting flavours that food has to offer, his palate naturally started to veer more towards the finer things in life and thus started to take great pleasure in sourcing only the finest quality ingredients.

Conceptualised in 2006 Savour2Taste has been actively involved in private chef services with the filming industry and luxury holiday accommodation sector being the primary source of business for the past 4 years. Scott offers the latest in cooking techniques and up to date food trends and ensures the highest quality in international cuisine.

Our services range from a full 5 star breakfast or a on-the-go breakfast, to a full 3 to 5 course, sit down lunch or dinner, served to you by Scott.

Scott has gained invaluable experience working for various high end clients from an infamous Russian Billionaire, British Royalty and members of nobility through to American diplomats. Scott has also recently returned from Cyprus where he successfully opened and managed 2 high-end restaurants where he attained a 5 out of 5 rating in the Eat Out Guide for menu creation and food standards.

He also features top wine estates' food and wine parings. Where he has teamed up with the winemakers of each farm and tailor designed 3 to 4 course set menus based on the winemaker's input on selected wines and on the different flavours and aromas creating the perfect balance.

Savour2Taste's greatest ambition, is not only to offer and create memorable moments whilst sharing fantastic food and wine, but to also bring awareness to the public through educating our clients on the knowledge of coastal marine management, as to how species of seafood and other organic ingredients are managed during the process of fishing or farming.

It is through cooking, sharing and the presentation of fine food and wine in some of Cape Town’s most memorable settings, that Savour2Taste hope to endeavour not only to share passion for dining, but to also support – where possible – environmentally-aware, sustainable farming practices. It is with this that Savour2Taste boldly stands firm that we will not be part of the sourcing of any endangered species, nor will we support harmful farming practises, where possible.
